Prolight & Sound Frankfurt 2007 proved the busiest yet for Robe Show Lighting, attracting visitors from all over Europe and a healthy international attendance from much further afield.

Situated in Hall 9, Stand D53 was consistently one of the busiest throughout the 4 day exhibition. Robe staff generally commented that the quality of visitors was very high, and indeed, professionals from all areas of the industry flocked to see Robe’s latest technology.

There was also an exceptionally good attendance from Robe’s worldwide distributors and business partners, all of whom then went on to Roznov to the 2007 Robe International Distributors Conference taking place 2 days later.

The stand was designed by Nathan Wan from Robe UK and he also programmed all the lights. It had an open airy feel to it, and was one of the biggest, most colourful and spectacular in the hall. One of the dominant features was a massive LED wall, built from Robe’s new StageQube 324s. The booth was also lined with rows of the new ColorSpot 700E AT fixtures – impressing passers by with their brightness!

Another eye-catching element was a large projection screen, used as a surface to illustrate the power, features and functionality of the DigitalSpot 5000 DT range. This included the new ‘picture merging’ facility – at Frankfurt, 8 DigitalSpot 5000DTs were merged to create one giant image – which is ideal for large format projection applications.

The new ColorWash 750AT Tungsten units were rigged on the circular trussing above the reception area, and above these were ColorSpot 2500E ATs, ColorWash 700E ATs and more ColorSpot 700E ATs.

Anolis had it’s own colourful and self-contained area on the booth, where visitors could catch up with the latest innovations in Robe’s exciting LED, architectural  and mood lighting ranges.

As always, there was excellent hospitality, a lively and convivial atmosphere and a plentiful supply of Czech beer on the Robe booth.

Products attracting special interest included the StageQubes and DigitalSpots. The displays from these fixtures alone drew many people into the lively, animated world of Robe! There was also much interest in the new 2500 and 700 Series moving lights.

Frankfurt is the biggest - and along with PLASA - the highest profile show in Europe. We always get a good result here, and this year was no exception. We made contact with many potential new clients from all over the world representing a wide cross section of the industry!
