Over 40 Robe moving lights were used by LD Nick Jevons of Electric Fly Productions for the main stage of Radio One’s Big Weekend 2006 in Dundee.

Headlining artists included Razorlight, The Streets, The Editors, Muse, Snow Patrol, Mylo, Pink, Keane and the Sugababes. For the first time, it event was recorded for broadcast on the digital channel, BBC 3 in addition to being broadcast live on national radio.

The fixtures – 18 ColorWash 1200ATs and 20 ColorSpot 1200ATs – were arranged across three onstage trusses – four of each type of luminaire per truss – and along the top of two audience ‘goal post’ trussing structures. Another six ‘special’ CS 1200 ATs were made available on the floor for the headlining acts for each of the two days.

It was the first time that Jevons has used Robe which he found “
