Robe UK has completed its first sale of Robe Show Lighting’s new ColorSpot 1200 moving light fixture for the UK hire market, with units purchased by Norwich-based Viking Lighting.

The deal was completed at PLASA by Robe UK, and followed a highly successful production of "Jesus Christ Superstar" in Cornwall for which Viking supplied all production equipment including a large Robe moving light rig rig.

The ColorSpot 1200s will go immediately into Viking’s hire stock. Viking’s Ian Leonard says they decided to add the powerful ColorSpot 1200 to their hire stock to compliment their existing stock of Robe, and so they could offer the ‘full family’ of Robe fixtures. The decision was fuelled by the success they’ve had with their extensive existing Robe stock which includes ColorSpot 250s and 575s.

“We’re pleased to see the 1200 is as good as the others”

states Leonard, who underlines the high brightness, enhanced features and fantastic value for money of the ColorSpot 1200 as further reasons that clinched the deal.

Viking Lighting has been established over 20 years, and is involved in supplying lighting designs, equipment and ideas for all areas of the performance and entertainment industries.
