Nicolas is a stage LD, working mainly in dance, theatre and opera. Since March 2020, 10 projects in which he was involved have been cancelled or postponed, and he is lucky enough for some of them to be recovered.
Juanjo Llorens is one of Spain’s leading Spanish performing arts lighting designers and he works on a variety of musicals, theatre, dance and circus shows. He is the same lively kid looking for new adventures that make it possible to always learn from his colleagues and life situations!
Juanjo was born in Buenos Aires 46 years ago and has devoted – to his great surprise – almost half of his life to lighting.
CaCo García resides in Madrid (Spain) and is currently working as a lighting designer, programmer and operator for many bands and music artists, as well as for large format events. He offers lessons and tutorials on lighting design and programming.
Grace is an Irish technician based in Dublin who works between lighting and stage/production management. I am currently working on a show called ‘To Be A Machine’ with Dead Centre as part of Dublin Theatre Festival.
As a lighting designer, lighting director and director of photography with offices in Hamburg and New York, Florian would usually be producing and subsequently running around fifty shows as part of New York Fashion Week.
Duncan Riley heads up DWR Distribution, a dynamic and successful distributor of major entertainment brands – including Robe – in South Africa.
Carlos Torrijos is a lighting designer and member of the management board of the AAI (Asociación de Autores de Iluminación) from Spain. He also creates Light Art sculptures and installations and is the co-director and curator of the Umbra Light Festival (staged annually in Vitoria, Spain).
The late Jason Salvin was an award-winning lighting designer who worked on a range of theatre productions, creative brand experiences and live music events by night and was director at Production Light & Sound Ltd – a busy production company based in Leeds, West Yorkshire – by day.
Before lockdown, Jacob worked as a lighting and video programmer via his company Jacob Shooter Lighting Design (JSLD) www.jacobshooter.lighting, working on projects including Celebrity X-Factor, Dancing on Ice, Secret Cinema’s Stranger Things, The Voice, Grace Jones, End Game at the Old Vic, and the Moschino Fashion show. Sadly, this has all come to a halt at the moment, but he’s positive everyone will be back to work soon!
Christina and Menelaos are co-founders of Greek lighting design company Creative Lighting www.creativelighting.gr. They have both trained in the UK: Christina studied for her MA at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Menelaos is a Rose Bruford graduate.
Before the crisis, Markus Tillmann designed and planned a wide variety of projects as a freelance lighting designer, working on exhibitions, events and theatre performances. With much attention to detail, many highly memorable events were created.
